SAVE OUR MASTERS OF SPEED
Over the past 30 years the cheetah has become one of the most endangered wild cats, leading to the opening of the De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Centre, which was Established in 1971. The center's mission is to breed, conserve and re-introduce endangered species back into their natural habitat. De Wildt is one of the only institutions in the world that breeds cheetahs on a substantial basis in captivity. De Wildt has also introduced the 'Adopt a Cheetah' Programme, allowing anyone to donate money in saving these Land Speed Record Holders. This programme has been proudly supported by the Outdoor Exhibition Organisers who have adopted a young King Cheetah and named it 'Kuching' (meaning cat in Balinese). For anyone wanting to gain further knowledge about their various programmes and these majestic creatures, contact De Wildt Cheetah Centre (012) 504-1921. |
