2009 Cape Outdoor Show a great success!

As you know, the Cape Outdoor Adventure and Travel Experience was held at the Bien Donne Agricultural Farm from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October. The show opened its gates to great anticipation from visitors and exhibitors alike and no one was to be disappointed! We welcomed 17500 visitors through the doors over the three days of the show and have had an overwhelmingly positive response from the public during the post show period.

The notorious Western Cape weather pleasantly surprised us over the weekend being clear, hot and consistent. It truly was a great summer's day out for the whole family - including social dogs who we are happy to report had a marvellous time at the Royal Canin Mutt Lounge, relaxing and recuperating from an exhausting day of smells, sights and excitement. Thank you for bringing your furry friends along - the atmosphere at the show was made all the more festive because of it!

We are proud to report that the food at the show has been highly accoladed by all; the Kitchen Cowboys really did show us what good food tastes like. The cleanliness of the venue has also been praised, as well as the professional way in which the show was run by the organisers.

Awards and accolades

Judging of this year's show was completed by four independent judges Ailsa Farmer, Pieter Rossouw, Bette McNaughton and Sabine van der Selm.
